I haven’t updated you readers on the sock wars saga lately. Well, as of last Friday I am officially dead, so let me bring you up to date.
I got the SIP’s (socks in progress) I was waiting for in the last post from assasin wanna be back in June. One sock was knit through the gusset. I finished them up in a few days and sent them on. Here they are…
I waited for a good month to receive my new SIP’s, which still haven’t arrived. I finally got permission to start fresh, and did so, assuming I’d be alive for a while longer since two players somehow appeared between me and my assassin (and had to be put out of the game before I could die). I figured I’d be holding on to my socks when they arrived until the two players were figured out. Unfortunately, they both marked themselves dead before I got my socks and I am done. And- I was #999 (or 1001) when there was a prize being given to the thousandth death. Sigh…
These are the SIP’s I sent off today:
It’s the new Lion Sock Ease. I LOVE the colors. I’ll have to replace this one.
Luckily, my socks are gorgeous and all my favorite colors of the season. And they are identical twins!- not fraternal like I make. So, thanks to Maura in S. Korea (Maura’s original socks are in the second picture. She modified the pattern based on a different yarn weight. Sorry your yarn wasn’t used, Maura… I guess your mods were hard to follow? I’ll be making them into something gorgeous!), Elsbeth in Massachusetts, Victoria in Wisconsin and Tricia in Pennsylvania/Ontario. I am on to the yarn smackdown and am not looking back… until next year…
