Happy Father’s Day to all you Dad’s out there. We ended up having more of a Father’s Day weekend, and had a great time (although it was much too short). We started Saturday by leaving before our open house and went out across city to a computer sale. Yes, we had to do what Dad wanted. 😉 Then we took the kids to their first offical movie in the theater. We stopped at Tinseltown to see Cars, which was really enjoyable and highly recommended. Both kids did really well sitting through the two hour film, although the mean cars were a little scary at first. We haven’t been to a movie in so long that it took me a few minutes to get used to the noise, lights and size, so I can imagine what the girls were feeling! Then we headed down to Rohrbach’s for some good ol’ German food and beer.Sunday we took a drive out to Ithaca to the Cornell Plantations. The whole town has changed a bit since I was there for school, so it wasn’t quite what I remembered, but the botanical garden was very entensive and interesting. I think it would have been more enjoyable if it had not been so hot! One thermometer read 99 degrees! And it was humid, too. K tried her first pickle… but that’s another story for another day. :)It was a very nice weekend. Thanks, Nate, for being such a great husband and father.
