Well, not a real cigar. Cigar gloves (from knitty.com). They are finished! I mentioned a few posts back that I was working on these for a friend and I think he’ll be very happy with them. 🙂
Project specs: Fingerless gloves a free pattern from knitlist.com. They were made with size 3 DPN’s and Lion Brand Wool-Ease in Black and Charcoal. They were a nice intro into gloves. Very cozy!
Project specs: Cigar- a free pattern from knitty.com. For these I used size 5 DPN’s (I don’t do 2 circulars, just can’t figure that one out…) and Paton’s Classic Wool Merino (100% Pure New Wool- don’t put these in hot water or the dryer!!) in Deep Olive with Paprika stripes. Again- very cozy, and fun, with the fingers and lack thereof. 🙂
Hopefully these will work great for the recipient!
Now that these are finished, I can begin my Project Spectrum items. Notice, black, green and orange are not in the first group of colors. So, I am starting with a Traveling Vines Scarf in my Kentucky yarn (from Koenig Farm Spinnery and Yarn Shop) in Lily Pond. I wound the skein yesterday and it is just a beautiful blend of blue, teal and purple (all on the blue side). And this is along with beginning my Forest Path Stole, and I’m setting aside the orange/green jaywalkers in favor of a simple blue/white sock. So much to do! PS pictures tomorrow.
