How ’bout some yummy red fruit to end your week?
We now have six gallons of strawberries and 20+ pounds of cherries in our freezer. MMMMMMM!

I think I am losing steam for the spectrum project. I’m not very motivated to make things that are red, black or metallic. Although I really do need to make another pair of fingerless gloves. Maybe that will do. But, as you know, I have other projects on the needles. I have finished the first repeat on my Pomotomus’ and finally decided on a sweater for the baby. It is the Harvard Square Cardigan from Knitting for Baby. I struggled to find colors that would work for a unisex sweater and so far this one is looking GREAT! Not spectrum colors, though. 🙂
So, anyway, I will leave you with some pictures you haven’t seen of the girls from Christmas. That’s about the only red/black I’ve got. Enjoy your weekend!
BTW- check out the gallery…there’s some new additions!

So I found my camera, but now I need to find the cable to download the pictures (and there are lots!). I am done with Monica, I made one Short Toed Socklet (for flip flops from the website http://www.coatsgmbh.de), started Pomotomus in the Tofuties yarn and started (and then ripped) Devan. The colors weren’t matching right, so I think I may use the original brown Trekking XXL with a different patten (that doesn’t need a contrast). I will probably save Devan for when we know who the baby is- and I can go crazy with non-gender-neutral colors. 🙂 And there are lots of pix on the camera of the girls swimming, camping, and playing at Chuck E Cheese.
So I will leave you with what I do have. A puppy shot and a belly shot. The pup is Roofus- our newest addition. He’s a Wheaton Terrier, found at a local rescue shelter and given to Nate as a Father’s Day present. He’s 8 months old and pretty good for a puppy. The belly is at 24 weeks. Things seem to be popping! So far everything is developing fine, the ultrasound was normal, and I’m feeling good. Enjoy!

No pix today- I seem to have misplaced my camera…Anyway, I had a very productive weekend after being able to knit for 2 hours straight with my local knitting group. I have finished my second Sockapalooza 4 sock and they are great! I would keep them if I didn’t have so many more to make for myself already. 🙂 I am thinking of Pomatomus (yeah, everyone’s done it) with either my black/tan Tofuties or my new Opal superfluous sock yarn. Then there’s the green Jitterbug that I think will become Diamond Lace Socks (from Miknits). None are spectrum colors, of course.I have started a quick tank for M (Monica from knitty.com) in crazy gumball colors of Peaches and Cream cotton. Not a typical choice for garment yarn, but it was so pretty and colorful (and there’s not a huge choice of yarns in this little town). It’s going QUICKLY, so I hope to have a FO in the next week or so.Watch the gallery for updates. It’s been a productive year so far!

Good bye May, hello June! This means that pink, yellow and green are also done and red, black and metallics are on the rise. What did I accomplish over the past two months?
I finished (although haven’t posted pictures of) the pink Gedifra Cheeky Chinos sweater.
I worked on blue sockapalooza socks (oops- off color!).
I made a yellow face cloth for a Charlotte, NC women’s shelter.
I made green baby socks.
I finished the yellowish-orangish “Autumn Sunset” Iris Garden socks.
I made part of Reid.
I didn’t touch Spartan or Eyelet Chemis. 😦
So many things to do… so little time…
So on to the next color scheme. I need to finish the sockapalooza socks (there’s a little red in there…), and then I’m kinda at a loss. I could probably make the second pair of “missing finger” gloves, although I didn’t really enjoy knitting with black. I’ve got to start Devon (in brown) and I really want to start my green Jitterbug socks… I think I may have to find other avenues to show off the spectrum colors this time! Bear with me, folks. 🙂 Anyway, happy June and welcome to (almost) summer!
