We’ve completed our GF trial. Conclusions: Yeah, there could be some mild sensitivity to gluten, but not enough that any significant changes were noted. Either that, or I missed a bunch of fine print and we were never truly free. I think what we are going to do is go “gluten light,” or try to avoid when possible. I’m open, again, to suggestions from anyone who has tried this approach.
We’ll be heading to the pediatrician for kids 2 and 3 in the next month, and I will be talking with her about this. She is a holistic pediatrician- big on nutrition- and has not seen these two kids yet. I am actually considering trying to get an extra block of time set aside for us just for this consultation. It’s really tough to “diagnose” kids. They tell me what they think I want to hear and are so susceptible to everything around them. We’re definitely going to keep our eyes and ears open.
