I thought I’d tried about everything- various cast-ons, cables, colorwork, stranding, in the round, etc, etc. I guess I didn’t know there were varying methods for casting-off. So this is an up close look at my first attempt at a tubular cast-off. It’s more or less like kitchener stitch, which I do enjoy, but because it’s on one needle it was a bit more complex. And took a loooong time. I had over 200 stitches to cast-off and each pair took five passes of the several-yard-long piece of yarn. Well, no matter now- it’s done and I think I like the look overall. Now I’m onto the sleeves and I could use impartial opinions.
The sleeves bell out around the elbow. Do you all think it would look better to have the ribs just before the bell begin above or below the bend? I can’t really tell from the pictures where the ribs fall. Or, should I just have them line up with the body ribs?
